I was born in Bankura, on the 19th Oct 1969. My father was in the Pharmaceutical profession. My mother was a school teacher in early life, but had to give up her job and become a housewife after they moved to Bankura. We moved to Asansol in 1973. I did my nursery schooling there in St. Patick's School. We moved to Kolkata in 1978. I joined South Point. I completed my high school (+2) from South Point in 1988. Joined the Civil Engineering program in Jadavpur University in 1988. I graduated in 1992. I met Parama in college in January, 1992.

After staying in kolkata for a continuous stretch of 14 years, I moved to Delhi to pursue my first job as an Graduate Engineering Trainee (GET) in CES(Consulting Engineering Services). I worked with CES for the 7 months. Went back to Calcutta in June, 1993 and joined CESC(Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation). During my stay there i was involved in the construction of the Budge Budge Power Plant.

Parama and I got married in Dec, 1996. She was then working with the Development Consultants Ltd, Calcutta. I left CESC and started working with PriceWaterHouseCoopers in January, 1998. Parama has already left DCL and joined TCG in Dec, 1997.

On January, 2002, parama and I left India and came to the silicon valley in California. Since then we have been staying in Sunnyvale. Parama is currently working with Nortel Networks and I am working with Openwave Systems.
